M I N I A T U R E took Stand up, dear city on an exploration into the infinitesimal - or at least into those sites which required us to strain a little to see. The workroom gave its full attention to Wellington lane - a street of tiny proportions that ends seemingly as soon as it starts. We focused on parts of the street which are smaller than most would often care to pay attention to e.g. dusty corners, pavement fissures, cracks in the walls formed thorugh mortar erosion. In this tiny corner of the city we imagined what it is to be small and what the resulting possibilities are of this diminutive thinking. We used the miniature to fuel the imagination, focusing on its fragility, difference, cuteness even to delve into a world of limitless possibilities. Detritus was collected, studied and consecrated in slide form. It was a walk to celebrate the infinite in the infinitesimal.
